We’re back with another Delicious Cali Terpenes recipe! Today, chef420grados unveils this delicious creation; an apple tatin with terpenes, ideal for surprising friends with a delicious desert that’s both different and healthy.
Cannabis-flavored desert: apple tatin and 24k Gold terpenes
Chef420gradps and Cali Terpenes are back with a new recipe that’ll surprise even the most demanding of taste buds. This time, David (Chef420grados) wanted to use 24K Gold terpenes to add a complex aroma and flavor to this apple tatin in order to create a truly surprising desert.
As always, the combination of aromas, flavors, textures and colors plays an important part when it comes to delighting the senses and winning over anyone who tastes it instantly.
In this recipe, the most obvious ingredient is apple – even though it’s a sweet desert (because it contains caramel) it also contains a lot of highly nutritional fruit with healthy properties including:
- It’s a source of vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin C. Just one apple can cover up to 30% of your daily dose of vitamin C. It also contains vitamin E, phosphorus and potassium.
- It’s one of the most boron-rich fruit out there, which helps absorb calcium and magnesium.
- It has a large amount of tannins, known for being anti-inflammatory and astringent agent.
- It’s great for your gut and can act as a natural form of teeth cleaning.
Apple tatin is a type of apple cake, in which apples are caramelized with butter and sugar before adding them.
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 apples
- 50g almond flour
- 45g softened butter
- 30g sugar
- 45g icing sugar
- 24K Gold Terpenes (or your favorite food terpenes)

Apple Tatin with Cannabis Aromas, Step by Step
Follow these steps to recreate this recipe perfectly:
Prepping the Apple
- Cut your apples in half and remove the seeds.
- Place them skin up on a plate, cover them with an appropriate cover and put them in the microwave, or the oven for 5 minutes at maximum heat.
Prepping the Crumble
- Mix the almond flour, sugar and butter.
- Knead well and stretch until it’s about 3 to 4 mm thick.
- Bake at 180°C for 5 minutes.
Final Steps – Almost There!
- Place a chunk of butter in a bowl and add 2 drops of terpenes – mix well.
- Crumble up your baking results and mix with your cannabis-flavored butter (the butter with terpenes from the previous step) and store in an airtight container.
- Remove the skin from the apples and pass them through a sieve.
- Make caramel or toffee sauce by heating sugar in a pan while slowly adding cream until the desired texture is acquired.*
*Be very careful during this step, sugar burns are one of the most dangerous types of burns when cooking. You can buy desert caramel or toffee sauce if you want to skip this step.
5. Using a mold, add around 6mm crumble, the rest of your apple mixture, and sprinkle with icing sugar on top, which you can toast a bit using a torch if needed.
